Yes. Optional stops and other requested changes can be quoted separately. The standard package includes the named hotels, an English-speaking guide, private vehicle, agreed itinerary transfers, included attraction tickets and listed meals. Hotels are not automatically replaced with similar-category properties; any hotel change requires your prior agreement.

Planning your six days in Zhangjiajie and Fenghuang

This route gives separate days to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Tianmen Mountain before continuing to Fenghuang. They are separate sightseeing areas; do not treat a Tianmen Mountain visit as a substitute for the Avatar-style sandstone scenery in the forest park.

Walking pace and mountain days

Expect walking between viewpoints and some steps even when using park transport. Tell us about mobility needs, children and your preferred walking pace before the itinerary is confirmed. Weather and operating conditions can affect mountain visits, so the final order should leave room for adjustments.

Glass Walkway or Glass Bridge?

The Tianmen Mountain Glass Walkway in this itinerary is different from the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge. If the Grand Canyon bridge is a priority, ask for it explicitly so the extra visit, transport and tickets can be checked in your quotation.

Price, named hotels and included services

From USD 1,399 per person, available for one adult. The starting price applies all year, including Chinese public holidays. A solo adult has a private room for all five nights with no single supplement.

Nights 1-4: Pullman Zhangjiajie Hotel.
Night 5: Phoenix Grand Hotel Fenghuang.
Included: an English-speaking guide, private vehicle, airport or railway station transfers as agreed in this itinerary, tickets for the included attractions, and the meals listed each day.

Our own Zhangjiajie reception team handles the local arrangements. These are named hotels, not automatically replaceable with similar-category properties. Room availability and the agreed arrival and departure points must be confirmed before accepting a booking. Any hotel change requires your prior agreement.

The standard itinerary includes the Tianmen Mountain Glass Walkway when open. Furong Town and the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge are not included in the standard programme; optional additions and other requested changes are quoted separately. Daily Itinerary, Hotels and Meals

Day 1

Arrival in Zhangjiajie

Hotel: Pullman Zhangjiajie Hotel

Arrive in Zhangjiajie, one of China’s most spectacular mountain destinations. Your private guide and driver will meet you at the airport or railway station and transfer you to your hotel.

After check-in, the rest of the day is free for you to relax and prepare for the mountain sightseeing ahead. If you arrive early, you may take a short walk near the hotel or enjoy a simple local dinner.

Travel Tip

No formal sightseeing is arranged today so you can rest after arrival. Keep a light jacket or rain gear ready for the mountain area.

Day 2

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Yuanjiajie

Spend the day exploring Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, famous for towering quartz-sandstone pillars, deep valleys, lush forests, and dramatic mountain views.

Visit the Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, where you can see some of the most iconic Avatar-style peaks. Depending on park conditions, your guide may also arrange viewpoints such as the Bailong Elevator area, natural stone bridges, or nearby scenic platforms.

The route will be adjusted based on weather, crowd levels, and your walking comfort.

Travel Tip

Mountain weather can change quickly. Some viewpoints may be foggy after rain, but the mist can also create beautiful scenery.

Day 3

Tianzi Mountain and Scenic Viewpoints

Hotel: Pullman Zhangjiajie Hotel Meals: Breakfast Lunch

Continue your Zhangjiajie sightseeing with Tianzi Mountain, another famous area inside the national forest park. The mountain is known for wide views of sandstone peaks rising from the valleys below.

Walk between scenic platforms with your guide and enjoy different angles of Zhangjiajie’s peak forest landscape. Depending on time and weather, you may also visit nearby areas such as Ten-Mile Gallery or other accessible viewpoints.

Return to your hotel in the late afternoon.

Travel Tip

Comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended. Park transportation and elevators help reduce walking, but there will still be steps and uneven paths.

Day 4

Tianmen Mountain and Glass Walkway

Hotel: Pullman Zhangjiajie Hotel Meals: Breakfast Lunch

Visit Tianmen Mountain, one of Zhangjiajie’s most famous landmarks. Take the cable car up the mountain and enjoy views of cliffs, valleys, and the winding mountain road below.

Walk along the cliffside paths and, if open, experience the Glass Walkway. Continue to Tianmen Cave, also known as Heaven’s Gate, a natural arch high in the mountain.

After the visit, return to Zhangjiajie city and enjoy your final evening here.

Travel Tip

The Glass Walkway and some mountain routes may close temporarily due to weather, maintenance, or safety controls.

Day 5

Zhangjiajie to Fenghuang Ancient Town

After breakfast, travel from Zhangjiajie to Fenghuang Ancient Town, one of China’s most atmospheric old towns.

Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and begin exploring the riverside town with your guide. Walk along the Tuojiang River, see traditional stilt houses, stone bridges, old lanes, and local shops.

In the evening, enjoy Fenghuang’s night views, when lights reflect on the river and the old town takes on a lively yet romantic atmosphere.

Travel Tip

Fenghuang’s old town has stone paths and bridges. Pack light for easier walking inside the historic area.

Day 6

Fenghuang Ancient Town and Departure

Enjoy a relaxed morning in Fenghuang Ancient Town. Continue exploring the old lanes, riverside views, local markets, and cultural corners that reflect the town’s history and minority heritage.

Depending on your departure schedule, your guide can arrange a slower walk, photo stops, or extra time by the river.

After the visit, your private driver will transfer you to the airport or railway station for departure.

Travel Tip

For early departures, the Fenghuang sightseeing program can be shortened or removed.
