6-Day Zhangjiajie Avatar Mountains and Fenghuang Private Tour

Arrive in Zhangjiajie and meet your private guide and driver for the hotel transfer. Your guide will confirm the route, ticket timing and walking level for the next few days.

Travel tip: Zhangjiajie involves mountain paths, scenic elevators and viewing platforms, so comfortable non-slip shoes are recommended.

Spend the day inside Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Ride the Bailong Elevator to Yuanjiajie and see the sandstone pillars that inspired the Avatar-style mountain scenery.

Your guide will help choose viewpoints and walking sections based on crowd levels, weather and your preferred pace.

Visit Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon and, if tickets and weather allow, walk on the famous glass bridge above the canyon. The experience combines light hiking, cliff views and a high-altitude photo stop.

If you prefer a gentler day, the route can be adjusted to focus on scenic viewpoints rather than long walks.

Visit Tianmen Mountain, known for Tianmen Cave, the mountain road and dramatic cliffside views. Depending on ticket routing, your guide will arrange the most practical way up and down the mountain.

Later continue to Furong Town, a riverside Tujia town built around waterfalls and traditional stilted houses.

Explore Fenghuang Ancient Town with your guide. Walk along the Tuo River, see traditional stilted houses and learn about the history and ethnic culture of western Hunan.

The evening atmosphere is one of the highlights, with riverside lights, bridges and old-town streets creating strong photo opportunities.

Your private driver and guide will take you to Zhangjiajie airport or train station. If your departure is late, optional short visits or relaxed hotel time can be arranged.
