6-Day Zhangjiajie and Fenghuang Private Tour

Arrive in Zhangjiajie, one of China’s most spectacular mountain destinations. Your private guide and driver will meet you at the airport or railway station and transfer you to your hotel.

After check-in, the rest of the day is free for you to relax and prepare for the mountain sightseeing ahead. If you arrive early, you may take a short walk near the hotel or enjoy a simple local dinner.

Spend the day exploring Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, famous for towering quartz-sandstone pillars, deep valleys, lush forests, and dramatic mountain views.

Visit the Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, where you can see some of the most iconic Avatar-style peaks. Depending on park conditions, your guide may also arrange viewpoints such as the Bailong Elevator area, natural stone bridges, or nearby scenic platforms.

The route will be adjusted based on weather, crowd levels, and your walking comfort.

Continue your Zhangjiajie sightseeing with Tianzi Mountain, another famous area inside the national forest park. The mountain is known for wide views of sandstone peaks rising from the valleys below.

Walk between scenic platforms with your guide and enjoy different angles of Zhangjiajie’s peak forest landscape. Depending on time and weather, you may also visit nearby areas such as Ten-Mile Gallery or other accessible viewpoints.

Return to your hotel in the late afternoon.

Visit Tianmen Mountain, one of Zhangjiajie’s most famous landmarks. Take the cable car up the mountain and enjoy views of cliffs, valleys, and the winding mountain road below.

Walk along the cliffside paths and, if open, experience the Glass Walkway. Continue to Tianmen Cave, also known as Heaven’s Gate, a natural arch high in the mountain.

After the visit, return to Zhangjiajie city and enjoy your final evening here.

After breakfast, travel from Zhangjiajie to Fenghuang Ancient Town, one of China’s most atmospheric old towns.

Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and begin exploring the riverside town with your guide. Walk along the Tuojiang River, see traditional stilt houses, stone bridges, old lanes, and local shops.

In the evening, enjoy Fenghuang’s night views, when lights reflect on the river and the old town takes on a lively yet romantic atmosphere.
