3-Day Shanghai Private Tour

Daily Itinerary, Hotels and Meals

Day 1

Arrival in Shanghai

Hotel: Central Hotel Shanghai ★★★★

Arrive in Shanghai, China’s most dynamic international city. Your private guide and driver will meet you at the airport or railway station and transfer you to your hotel.

After check-in, the rest of the day is free for you to relax, recover from your journey, or take a short walk near your hotel. If you arrive early, you may enjoy an easy evening stroll along Nanjing Road or the Bund area on your own.

Travel Tip

No formal sightseeing is arranged today so you can rest after arrival. Evening activities can be adjusted based on your arrival time.

Day 2

Yu Garden, the Bund, Shanghai Tower and French Concession

Hotel: Central Hotel Shanghai ★★★★ Meals: Breakfast Lunch

Start your day at Yu Garden, a classic Chinese garden with elegant pavilions, ponds, rockeries, dragon walls, and traditional old Shanghai atmosphere.

Continue to the Bund, where historic waterfront buildings face the modern skyline of Pudong. Your guide will share the stories behind Shanghai’s colonial-era architecture and its transformation into a global financial center.

After lunch, visit Shanghai Tower or another observation deck for panoramic city views, depending on weather and ticket availability.

Later, explore the French Concession, known for tree-lined streets, historic villas, boutique shops, cafes, and a relaxed local atmosphere. This area shows a softer and more residential side of Shanghai.

Travel Tip

Shanghai Tower visibility depends on weather. If the view is poor, your guide can suggest an indoor museum, market, or neighborhood experience instead.

Day 3

Shanghai Museum, Local Neighborhoods and Departure

After breakfast, visit Shanghai Museum or another cultural site based on your interests. The museum is a good place to understand Chinese bronzes, ceramics, calligraphy, painting, jade, and traditional art.

Continue with a relaxed walk through a local neighborhood or market to see everyday Shanghai life beyond the main skyline.

After the visit, your private driver will transfer you to the airport or railway station for departure. If your departure time is late, the program can be extended with a nearby water town, extra shopping time, or another city highlight.

Travel Tip

For early departures, the Day 3 sightseeing program can be shortened or removed.
